Kew Gardens

After we went to the Architectural Exhibit we all made our way over to Kew Gardens. The official name is the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew. They have specimens of plants from all over the world. They have plants from Cacti to Bonsai Trees. In fact there was even a little Bonsai Tree House. It was way cool.

This is a picture from the top level of the Palm Conservatory. It was gorgeous, but probably the most humid structure I have ever been in. They are constantly misting the palms to reenact the rainforest.

This was one of my favorite places at Kew. It was a green house full of water lillies. Look how huge they are! These are each big enough sit comfortably in!

This is a picture of a cool fountain with lilly pads in front ot the Princess of Wales Royal Conservatory. Corrine had this marvelous idea that we should swim in it, which would immediately get us thrown out, but we were tempted.

Katie,
Aunt tammy loved the lillies and the garden. It looks like you are having so much fun. where are you now? Luie and aunt tammy are so proud of you. You should see all the cd's people have brought over for me to put on their ipods. Logan's sister brought over about 250. It is going to take me forever. Aunt tammy wants you to look for a book in England. She borrowed it from dad and couldn't find it. don't tell dad. It is called "England" and is a red hard-bound. Maybe you can call her on her cell. 971-0434 I hope you are having the time of your life and are not too hot. please email me back but remember not to say anything about the book because dad will read it. We all love you and hope you are having a great time.

Love you tons,
Blake Luie and aunt Tam

I know Aunt Tammy would love those lilly pads in her pond. However, they wouldn't fit! This place looks beautiful!
